This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse, who aspires to deliver excellent cancer care, to join our passionate, well respected and progressive HPB Cancer service.
The post holder will ensure that the patient has a supported journey by acting as their key worker and undertaking holistic needs assessments with relevant training, at key points.
Main duties of the job
The HPB Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide support and advice to individuals diagnosed with HPB cancer providing holistic care and ensuring a seamless cancer journey and an excellent patient experience.

The post holder will be based within the Cancer Services at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust but will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
In return for your commitment the successful candidate will be offered professional support. You will develop skills enabling you to practice at an advanced clinical level, both in your own clinical practice and as a role model to others.
Job descriptionJob responsibilities
To work clinically, delivering and maintaining high standards of care and contributing to the multi-disciplinary team.
To support and contribute to the development and promotion of the nursing service ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective care.
Educate staff in understanding the care requirements of patients undergoing investigations and treatments and ensure that the physical and psychological needs of patients and their families are met.
Liaise and assist in coordinating patient care between the local and specialist centres.
Promote and maintain effective communication.
