    Position: Facilities Manager

    Overview:

    If you are an experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager, looking for the next step, we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating, supporting, and advising the school on all aspects of Health and Safety, as well as managing facilities department and helping with programme works over the summer. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a safe and efficient learning environment, we want to hear from you

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the school site, identifying effective solutions to meet evolving facilities needs.
    • Maintenance & Security: Ensure the security, maintenance, and availability of our buildings, furniture, fittings, and equipment.
    • Health & Safety: Implement and manage daily schedules for housekeeping, maintenance, and security to maintain high standards. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Budget Management: Manage allocated budgets in line with the school's financial procedures.
    • Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Head Teacher, Governors, and Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Create and maintain an annual maintenance plan.
    • Prepare school sites for all school events.
    • Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, risk assessments, and procedures.
    • Maintain inventories of school equipment and furniture.
    • Manage a structured programme of health & safety training.
    • Liaise with external health & safety consultants.
    • Chair and formulate minutes for Health & Safety Committee meetings.
    • Participate in monthly meetings to report on health & safety matters.
    Professional Standards:
    • Support the aims and ethos of the School.
    • Keep abreast of developments in the Facilities Management field.
    • Treat all members of the School community with respect and consideration.
    • Assist the Senior Management Team with staff appraisals and performance monitoring.
