    Description

    The opportunity

    University of the Arts London is looking for a Finance Administrator to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 6 months.

    You will manage all aspects of financial administration, providing support in designated areas. This will involve:

    • Accurately raising and monitoring purchase orders within agreed timescales.
    • Processing purchase invoices to meet payment dates and raising sales invoices and credit notes promptly.
    • Setting up new suppliers and customers in our finance system following university guidelines.
    • Accurately processing sundry/manual payments and receipt journals.
    • Handling queries from staff and suppliers about purchase ledger, sales ledger, and other financial areas.

    You will also offer key support to the Finance Business Partner, senior staff, and relevant UAL stakeholders, developing key links with staff from across the university to raise the profile of the finance team and to enhance working practices across the colleges.

    About you

    The successful candidate will have significant experience in financial administration and will be proficient in Finance Management Information Systems such as Agresso. We seek a candidate with a GCSE level education or equivalent, who will ideally hold a degree or relevant finance qualification.

    You will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, a proficiency in IT along with developed MS Office skills, and the ability to deliver basic training. We value team players who show initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
