Senior Psychiatric input and clinical leadership for the locality Multidisciplinary Team. Supervision of psychiatric medical staff working within the Learning Disability Service.
Undertake teaching and educational initiatives to develop skills of the Local Multidisciplinary team and the wider Learning Disability Service.
Interface with neurology and other health services where needed to facilitate access of service users into services that provide the most appropriate care for people with intellectual disabilities.
Senior interface with other community mental health services to ensure optimum Psychiatric Services for service users.Liaison with children services to optimise transition of children into adult service.

GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
Ability to demonstrate significant administrative and office experience
MD, PhD, MSc or other additional clinical knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes
Additional experience e.g. neurodevelopmental disorders, psychological therapies, liaison.
Experience in UK of working at consultant level in specialist services for people with intellectual disability.
Recognised basic medical degree
