    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Hull. This role is being recruited for by Crowe Watson Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency specialising in the accountancy sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing exceptional financial advice and support. This position offers a unique chance to be part of a dynamic team within a reputable firm, where your expertise will contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of our clients' businesses.

    As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing strategic guidance and managing a team to deliver high-quality accounting services. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their financial needs, developing tailored solutions, and maintaining strong relationships. You will also play a key part in the mentoring and development of junior staff, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency within your team.

    Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop client relationships, providing expert advice and support on a range of accounting issues.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring deadlines are met and standards are maintained.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory documents.
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal processes and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.

    • Requirements:

  • ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high standards of work and professional ethics.
