We are seeking to recruit to an exciting new position within the friendly and busy Social Care Payments Team, for the role of Finance Officer.

You will be working within a team of eight, with responsibility for the monitoring, processing and recording of adult social care payments on behalf of both the Council and Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB). This will include regular updates of payment issues with care providers and investigating and resolving these issues when they arise. Previous experience of such a role in a Finance Team or Accounts Payable setting would therefore be beneficial as well as strong numeracy skills and the ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines. The role will also involve accessing care information on our internal finance system, liaising with care providers, service users and social workers to clarify and address issues relating to the purchase and payment of care. Experience of financial systems such as ContrOCC, Liquid Logic and Agresso would also therefore be useful as well as being a team player with a collaborative work style. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are also key, as the role will require close and collaborative working with external stakeholders such as care providers and service users, as well internal colleagues within our Brokerage, Commissioning and Social Care teams.

This a part-time permanent role working 22.5 hours per week. This role will involve a mixture of working from home and the Civic Centre in Keynsham.
