Berkeley Scott have a seasonal vacancy for a CDP based on an idyllic island in Scotland

Starting ASAP until October 2024

Benefits

40 hours per week; 5 over 7 days
£15.00 per hour PLUS LIVE IN, PLUS MEALS ON DUTY

The role of the CDP

Working in a small team, you will be based at the only public pub/hotel on the Island. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menus are focused on providing high quality, home cooked, comfort foods using local produce

Assistant Chef - Key Responsibilities

Set up the kitchen ready for food preparation and service.
Preparation, production and service of food to the standard required in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety standards.
Monitor cleanliness and good order of the kitchen/cafeteria.
Maintain day-to-day operational standards of the kitchen.
Manage own kitchen section during service.
Assist in other areas of the kitchen when required.
Assist in other areas of the hotel/pub where necessary
Ensure that all customers are treated with courtesy at all times.
Ensure all utensils, crockery etc. used in the kitchen and dining room are cleaned as required and stored as necessary.
Stores: Ensure that stores are kept clean and tidy, restocking shelves from deliveries, putting into operation stock rotation system (first in first out).
Reporting any defects, damage, theft, breakages, lost/found property and hazards to Head Chef.

Essential requirements of our CDP:

Good cooking skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Ability to multitask
Good customer care skills
Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision

The site is part of a wider estate and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a highly experienced team aiming to get the Private estate to Michelin level status
