    Senior Health and Safety Advisor
    DaldowieFuel Plant, Uddingston
    Permanent, full time

    Do you have a strong track record leading, championing,and delivering in Health & Safety? We're now recruiting a newopportunity for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor in Uddingston.

    You'll play a vital role in leading and protecting ourpeople, our assets and partners at Daldowie Fuel Plant.

    Using your expert knowledge and experience, you'll leadand advise on suitable risk controls, and work to ensure that the organisationmeets relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards.

    Working as part of a wider HSE & Governance team,you'll work closely with our operations, maintenance and engineering teams toprovide leadership and promote safety and teamwork across the site.

    You'll alsobe working closely with external bodies including suppliers, contractors andconsultants.

    You'll be responsible for creating an open"challenging" culture of communication to facilitate learning, motivateindividuals and teams alike throughout all stages of the work process tosupport sustained Health & Safety improvements.

    Your role will also involve leading the delivery ofthe behavioural safety programme and attending regular site meetings,investigations, and internal meetings to support the management teams in thedelivery of outstanding Health & Safety performance.

    You'll keep up to date with changes to legislation andstandards where applicable to be able to recommend and develop changes tosystems and processes, as well as leading the development and implementation ofnew Health & Safety processes, procedures and work instructions.

    This will be a full-time site based position.

    To be successful in this role you'll have a proventrack record of leading and delivering Health & Safety improvements in asimilar site-based role coupled with a recognised qualification in OccupationalHealth & Safety - NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum and be aprofessional member of a relevant safety or occupational health professionalbody such as the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or workingtowards this.
