Description
We are looking to appoint a Medical Oncologist with Special Interest in Gynaecology This is a substantive appointment, based predominantly at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex but with commitments at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
It is currently run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust (ENHT) and is in the process of merging with University College London Hospital (UCH), a leading tertiary cancer services provider.
Mount Vernon will continue to provide high-quality care for cancer patients during the transition period, which is expected to complete by September 2025.The cancer centre will move to an established local acute hospital site, with access to intensive care facilities, whilst remaining a separate cancer centre.
A networked satellite radiotherapy service will be developed to enhance the provision of cancer care to patients in the north of the area.
We welcome applications from those who would relish the opportunity to be a part of the development of a new state of the art cancer centre.
At Mount Vernon, the post holder will be expected to work with members of the Gynaecology SMDT to plan and supervise the oncology treatment of patients.
At the Luton & Dunstable Hospital site the post holder will work closely with the Gynaecology multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and high-quality outpatient oncology and SACT delivery service.
This re-organised post is available immediately to provide site specific services to the local population and surrounding areas.At East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, we are proud of the range of general and specialist services we provide and our 6,000 or so dedicated staff ensure our patients get the best care.

Entry on GMC Specialist Register or, be within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview or, provide GMC confirmed eligibility for entry on the Specialist Register
