    (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are looking to recruit an experienced Training Sector Lead within its Corporate Services Department. Corporate Services sits within the Estates & Facilities Directorate based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This is a permanent post and the successful candidate will be required to travel to sites across NHSGG&C West Sector which includes Gartnavel, Stobhill, ACHs, Leverndale and health centres.

    The purpose of this role is to manage, oversee and organise an effective Training service. This includes the planning and structuring of a training programme so all staff receive role specific and statutory and mandatory training at the frequencies outlined within legislation/Board Policies. Responsibility for ensuring that all training records are appropriately recorded electronically and generating the necessary training posts for Managers.

    The post holder will, on occasion, will be required to support on the recruitment process for all services, from point of advertisement through to interview and selection, and liaison with new starts. The post holder will lead on the Induction Governance process, ensuring that the induction process is completed within the Corporate timeframes and signed off appropriately.

    The post requires a dynamic, forward thinking individual who possesses excellent staff training and communication skills, is highly conversant with all IT applications and standard software, has an ability to interpret a range of IT related systems (such as Jobtrain, FMFirst, Portertrak, DMT etc). In addition the post holder must demonstrate an ability to engage with staff effectively and to consistently produce high quality standards of work, be highly adaptable and have an ability to prioritise workloads within a pressurised environment.

    Standard hours of work will be between the hours of 08.00 and 20.00 hours Monday to Friday however there will be an expectation and requirement for the post holder to have a presence on all shifts (day, back, nights Monday to Sunday) as business activity requires.

    Applicants should have previous experience within an NHS/FM related role, preferably with previous staff training / recruitment experience, and be able to demonstrate their ability to undertake this challenging role through successful previous performance.
