    Junior Underwriter

    £30,000 - £35,0000 + Benefits

    The Company

    Responsibilities of the Junior Underwriter

    • Assisting in the underwriting process for Commercial Property insurance
    • Evaluating risk profiles
    • Preparing underwriting reports
    • Liaising with clients and brokers
    • Maintaining underwriting records
    • Organizing meetings
    • Handling correspondence
    • Maintaining files
    • Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned and as dictated by the business needs of the company.

    Requirements

    • 2 years of Commercial Insurance, Cert CII Preferred but not essential.
    • Proven experience in underwriting
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge of Commercial Property insurance market trends
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, etc.)
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork ability.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and report issues/updates up the chain of command.
    • Ambitious and keen to learn and to drive career forward within the company.
    • Develop and maintain an awareness of the insurance markets we deal with
