    Description

    Senior Data Analysis (Defence project) - Multiple HQ's around the U.K - MUST be eligible for security clearance and hold a British passport with NO dual nationality/citizenships.

    K are looking to bring onboard a Senior Data Analyst to join the team based either in Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Portsmouth, Barrow-in-Furness, Frimley or Weymouth on a hybrid remote basis.

    Although the base location for this opportunity will be mentioned above, the majority of responsibilities can undertaken remotely with periodic expensed travel the project HQ in Barrow – approx.

    You will be joining an Engineering Team that are made up of a team of multi-disciplinary Engineers and Data Scientists who estimate, collate and present mass properties data for a number of multi-billion-pound submarine programmes.

    The Weight Engineering team are a specialist team who play a critical role in the whole boat design and assuring whole boat safety.

    Lead the collation of mass properties data to deliver weight and centroid control on multi billion-pound submarine programmes
    Create and maintain a comprehensive database of parts mass properties.
    Develop weight saving strategies and maintain the list of the risk and opportunities for the submarine.
    Interrogate CAD models to determine estimates for mass properties with associated uncertainties.
    Experience working at Senior/Lead level (Led projects ideally and able to work independently)
    Strong Data Analysis background
    Java and SQL experience
