    Graduate New Business Development Executive

    The Role: The role of Graduate New Business Development Executive will see you selling a range of electronic components used in a vast array of consumer & industrial electronics. Your role will be to deal with Design Engineers (50-60%), Applications Engineers, and Procurement teams within OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). You will have the opportunity to go after any business within the North West, Yorkshire, and West Midlands

    This is a field based technical sales role where you will utilise face to face meetings, as well as video consultations, to get the most out of your clients needs. As this is a design led process the Graduate New Business Development Executive will learn how to read technical drawings, specify product into new designs, and work on long-term stock plans as prototypes become standard designs. This area has around 3500 target accounts to go at, so you won't struggle for business to find The Graduate New Business Development Executive will be building their own account base of spending clients over a two year period before a promotion to 'Territory Sales Manager'.

    This is a predominantly new business focussed role where you will have loads of support, training, and information at your fingertips. You will spend three days in the field each week, with two working from home or their Manchester based office if you would prefer.

    The Company: Our client is a European leader in the manufacture of electronic components used in a wide array of applications & products - from small protype business through to blue-chip organisations. They are going from strength to strength and are looking to grow their technical capability to give their customers a much better experience throughout the design stage of the process. They have recently invested in new premises in Manchester and are heavily investing in personal development for people coming into the business both professionally & technically.

    We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

    • Degree education - engineering would be advantageous, but not compulsory
    • Have the ability to have commercial & technical discussions
    • Has the aptitude to learn a technical product and industry
    • Someone who really wants a field sales career with a major manufacturer
    • A real people person who has good communications skills
    • Full & Clean Driving licence - there is a lot of driving in this role

    What is on offer?

    • £25,000-30,000 basic salary DOE
    • Monthly commissions of £300 and an annual bonus scheme of around £1500 +
