    What You'll Do:

    The Commercial Kitchen Manager is responsible for the operation and growth of the commercial kitchen. This arm sits within the Production Kitchen which services the internal food demands of our Execution Kitchens. You will work alongside the Head Production Chef to execute and grow the commercial side of the production kitchen – to begin with: commercial production (wholesale food sales), catering and mealkits.

    Commercial Kitchen Success and Growth

  • Be the external face of the commercial kitchen
  • Develop and execute existing incoming business to the best of your ability, namely:
  • Mealkits
  • Commercial production (with new and existing kitchen partners)
  • Catering
  • Work closely with the Head Production Chef to allocate time and resources where they are most needed to fulfil both external and internal requirements
  • Use the Commercial Kitchen as a launchpad for new for business development and growth
  • Ensure the Production Kitchen is, at a minimum, cost-neutral.

    • Order, and Inventory Management

  • Order supplies, food and ingredients based on rapidly shifting demands
  • Organise and execute orders for the various arms of the commercial kitchen
  • Maintain inventory levels and conduct full weekly inventory
  • Liaise with supply chain regarding

    • Staff Management

  • Liaise with HR and Training to recruit and train staff in specific stations within both the Production Kitchen and the Commercial Kitchen. Cross-train as necessary
  • Create schedules for staff to ensure there are always enough staff to meet demand
  • Lead from the front and step in as needed to ensure service-excellence
  • Liaise with training to advance staff knowledge and complete and fulfil their Personal Development Plans

  • Has a keen eye for detail
  • Has 3+ years' culinary experience
  • Has 2+ years' restaurant management or supply chain experience
  • Is able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Is capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory
  • Can work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Has experience with delegating tasks and maintaining quick service
