    We are looking for an individual who has experience as a nurse in the field of Cardiology, enthusiastic and innovative person with proven leadership capabilities to join our exceptional team.

Cardiology is fast paced and is on the cutting edge of technology, providing excellent cardiology experience for staff caring for patients undergoing cardiology procedures: angiograms, angioplasty, ablations, cardiac devices and various cardiac valve related procedures. Main duties of the job The nursing dependency of the patients is diverse with direct transfers from the regional general hospitals and emergency pathways running through our department and as such is dependent on the clinical skills of trained and motivated nurses. We have a superb and supportive team of dedicated nurses and support staff. Our staff are focused on providing the highest standards of patient care and we are keen to recruit staff to join our team who will share our vision, enthusiasm, and pride in the care we deliver.     • Registration with NMC
    • Diploma in Nursing
    • Teaching and assessment qualification or equivalent
    • Evidence of continuing professional development
    Desirable
    • Degree in Nursing
    • Evidence of further education in a relevant field.
    • Management development training
    Experience Essential
    • Significant post-registration clinical experience, including in the specialty
    • Management/leadership experience in clinical area
    • Audit and/or research in clinical area
    • Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice guidance, clinical governance and quality
    • Awareness of broader issues in the Trust, the wider NHS and an understanding of the professional nursing agenda
    • Understanding management and leadership theory and practice, together with people management procedures
    • Aware of cultural and social influences on health and of the importance of respecting diversity and differences
    • Able to perform all nursing activities specific to specialty
