    Description
    The research function within ESG&DI is primarily responsible for being subject matter experts on one of the research verticals. These verticals include compensation, governance, activism, voting and risk. Key responsibilities include managing the methodology for data collection; quality assurance and liaising closely with Product and Engineering teams. This role will be a 9-month maternity cover.

    The team of Research Analysts is responsible supporting the Research Manager/ Senior Research Manager in designing and managing the data collection methodology for the vertical they are a part of.

    Ensuring data quality and data delivery to acceptable standards in service of our clients is a core function of this role.

    Embedding strong quality assurance within the data collection process is also one of the key requirements of this role.

    This would involve working closely with the Research Manager/ Senior Research manager and the Product and/ or Engineering teams to develop quality controls and automations.

    This role also includes executing manual processes for collecting and importing data from certain sources, globally.

    We expect this role to fully own certain daily and weekly tasks, as well as ongoing projects within the vertical.

    The research analyst will be expected to be on the lookout to continuously improve our product to reflect any changes in regulations or additional data that may be needed to add to their vertical.

    This would mean working closely with the Vertical lead and the engineering team to develop data functionalities and design a collection methodology.

    The Research Analyst will also be responsible for training the service providers and ensuring that process documentation is updated frequently and clear to understand.

    so that senior management can be appraised over tasks collection. The role also involves assisting the Data Services team in questions around methodology and client support.
    Conduct data collection tasks to uphold the integrity of our database and keep it current.
    Execute systematic checks to identify data inaccuracies and operational inefficiencies as per predefined protocols.
    0-3 years work experience in a professional services environment.
    ~ Strong academic qualifications (Graduate degree in international relations / law / politics / economics / finance desirable).
    ~ Enjoys building relationships and willingness to work across functions.
    ~ Additional Asian language skills preferred.
    Mastery of Microsoft Office, Excel in particular.
