    Macdonald & Company have been exclusively retained to work with a client of ours on an incredibly exciting project based in the Cambridge area (with regular visits to London)

    They are looking for an experienced Head of Social Value to join their team at this crucial time and work alongside other leaders and be a part of their journey.

    About the role/Company;

    We are a leading property developer, working with our Partners to create beautiful, sustainable and community focused places.

    This Campus is home to some of the world's foremost institutes and organisations in genomics and computational biology, committed to delivering life-changing science. Today, over 2,500 people work at the Campus. The Campus is now undergoing a major expansion with planning consent for c.1.6million sqft of research space, 1500 homes and 335,000 sqft of amenities to create a dynamic, sustainable environment, securing its status as a world-leading hub for genomics and biodata.

    Role Overview:

    As the Head of Social Value & Communications, you will be a pivotal member of our senior team, driving communications, community engagement, and social impact initiatives. Reporting to the Development Director, you will play a key role in fostering stakeholder relationships and ensuring our values resonate throughout the expansion project.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Develop socio-economic benefit strategies focusing on employment, training, health, and community cohesion.
    • Lead stakeholder and community engagement strategies, ensuring inclusivity and effectiveness.
    • Foster partnerships with external stakeholders and support social value initiatives.
    • Develop and execute communication strategies across various channels.
    • Manage production of communication materials and oversee progress reporting.
    • Implement evaluation frameworks to measure impact on skills, employment, and local economy.
    • Collaborate with sustainability team to deliver on corporate social commitments.

    Role Skills & Requirements:

    • Senior communications/social value professional with leadership experience.
    • Track record of developing social value initiatives or innovation programs.
    • Understanding of technology's role in driving innovation and positive change.
    • Ability to navigate complex issues and work with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in budget and project management.
    • Effective communication skills across various mediums.
    • Strong project management abilities and task prioritisation.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building and collaboration.
    • Flexibility to work outside core hours for meetings and events.
    • Adaptability in communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
