    Senior Manager, Medical Affairs, Data Solutions & Analytics

    About this job

    As the Senior Manager, MA Data Solutions & Analytics, you will assume a pivotal role within Astellas Pharma Global Development, contributing to the advancement of Medical Affairs activities through the implementation of innovative data solutions and analytics. This position serves as a critical bridge between strategic objectives and operational execution, driving the adoption of efficient methodologies to measure performance and derive actionable insights.
    In this role, you will lead the charge in crafting a robust framework for evaluating the effectiveness of Medical Affairs initiatives, leveraging sophisticated analysis and reporting techniques to distill complex data into meaningful narratives. By championing a culture of data-driven decision-making, you will empower stakeholders across the organization to make informed choices that drive value and enhance patient outcomes.

    In this role you will

    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific Medical Affairs activities and tactic types, collaborating with colleagues to prioritize and develop key reporting metrics.
    • Identify, standardize, and automate critical reporting metrics and modeling tools, adapting current reports to meet evolving Medical Affairs needs.
    • Collaborate with operational stakeholders to define and maintain business rules aligned with internal policies and Medical Affairs requirements.
    • Lead ad hoc analyses to provide timely insights and identify performance gaps, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Provide recommendations on analytical techniques and manage the refinement of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards to match evolving business needs.

    Essential Knowledge & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
    • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in an analytics/data science role.
    • Strong proficiency in coding languages such as SQL, R, and/or Python.
    • Expertise in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of various analytical techniques and their application within complex reporting projects.

    Preferred Knowledge & Experience

    • Work experience across multiple cultures and regions.
    • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated collaboration in a matrix organization.

    Additional information

    • Permanent position.
    • This role follows our hybrid model. 1 day per quarter will be required at the office of Addlestone, in the UK.
    • Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located withing a commutable distance of the office.
