    Mechanical Design Engineer– London – up to £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits – Permanent

    Step into the role of Mechanical Design Engineer within a dynamic engineering team based in Southeast London. You'll be joining a prominent industry leader with renowned expertise in subsea network solutions. Your primary focus will be on the design of parts and assemblies for the manufacture of a critical product, from initial concept, prototyping, right through to production.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Design and refine mechanical parts and assemblies for Power Feeding Equipment products.
    • Collaborate with design and industrial engineers to support production investigations.
    • Develop 3D models using PTC Creo and create 2D drawings.
    • Manage bill of materials and documentation on Windchill PDM system.
    • Liaise with suppliers, conduct physical modelling, and prototype new designs.
    • Generate requirement specifications and manufacturing drawings/documents as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant R&D, preferably with manufacturing exposure.
    • Experience of designing parts and assemblies for manufacture of actual product, from initial concept, prototyping, right through to production.
    • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Proficiency in PTC Creo MCAD tools.
    • Knowledge of Windchill and SAP advantageous.
    • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and basic grasp of electrical, electronic, and software disciplines.
