    Job Details:

    Origin Global is a leading manufacturer of bespoke Aluminium Bi-folding Doors and Windows where our products combine high-grade aluminium with precision engineering to create functional products meant to last.

    We are in search of a Product Engineer to join our Product Development Team and contribute to the creation of new products, ensuring compliance with our current product line.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in product development/manufacturing, possess strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in reporting.

    This role will involve hands-on work, conducting tests on new products both in-house and at an accredited test center.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Oversee and support New Product Testing and Compliance Testing
    • Assist in identifying the root cause of product non-compliance
    • Review and implement improvement requests technically
    • Create and maintain test reports for testing purposes
    • Oversee prototyping and trial builds for New Product Design
    • Support business operations with product launches
    • Review and provide input on installation details and manuals
    • Review and advise on manufacturing processes and equipment
    • Support with ensuring documentation completeness for quality and H&S compliance

    Knowledge/Experience:

    • Industry experience advantageous
    • Desirable CAD skills (2D or 3D CAD)
    • Experience in design processes and NPD
    • Mechanical design principles
    • Knowledge of fabrication/assembly techniques
    • Engineering degree or relevant qualification
