- Prepare vehicles for track tests by fitting measurement equipment, sensors, data acquisition systems, and other test equipment such as brake valves, fuel meters etc.
- Set up the test vehicles to the defined instruction, checking and setting tyre pressures etc.), and installing test ballast as required.
- Drive the vehicle to the required procedures on the various on and off-road facilities.
- Monitor, collect and record test data from the measurement or data acquisition equipment.
- Report test results and anomalies to the test engineer in a neat and timely manner.

- The role may be given specific responsibility for certain items of laboratory/workshop equipment.

- Served an engineering apprenticeship related to motor vehicles or have technical competence equivalent to ONC or higher (desirable).
- Full UK Drivers licence – additional categories (HGV, PSV desirable).

Job Description
Purpose
As a member of our growing team, this role will be working on vehicle-based military tests to prepare vehicles for test; including mechanical work, conducting on-track vehicle tests, and fitment/removal of instrumentation. We validate, test and support military vehicles for UK MoD and OE manufacturers, utilising the unique facilities at UTAC Millbrook.
The role will primarily involve supporting the Engineering Team in carrying out tests across a variety of projects, from smaller-scale, short-term projects to multi-year, high value programmes.
