    Procurement Administrator - Swindon, United Kingdom - Perfect Candidate

    Description

    PERFECT CANDIDATE are pleased to be working with a global supplier of niche electrical-mechanical solutions to sectors such as Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Medical, Automotive and Motorsport.

    THE ROLEYou will work alongside sales to pro-actively diversify the supply chain and negotiate commercial terms which benefit customers. You will lead price negotiating and co-ordinate strategic purchases at the front-end of the purchasing department.

    This will include the ability to deliver customer service and cost savings through smart inventory management and strategic purchasing decisions.


    MAIN DUTIESBuying and Delivery:

    • Dynamically negotiate supplier costs and enable more competitive pricing.
    • Assist sales with obtaining best commercial position for larger project bids.
    • Work with sales to establish accurate forecasting requirements for purchasing.
    • Analysis of data to ensure efficient stocking policies deliver commercial benefits

    Data Maintenance:

    • Placing purchase orders to ensure the inventory is kept at optimum levels.
    • Ensure ERP data is kept updated and maintained to the highest standard

    Lean Management:

    • Develop and leverage lean principles and digital solutions to continuously improve process and system efficiencies.
    • Tenacious and creative approach to supplier negotiations.
    Communication skills to strengthen supply chain relationships.
    EDUCATION AND SUCCESSESSoftware, such as Excel and Outlook.
    A track record of consistently exceeding commercial targets.
    Experienced with business development and/or commercial tasks.
