    Why this job matters

    As an Account Director, you'll be working with one of the UK's largest and most prestigious manufacturing companies. This is one of BT's most strategic accounts, delivering WAN, LAN and security services and projects globally.

    In this role, you'll also be part of the leadership team for the Manufacturing & Resources vertical and play a pivotal role in defining the growth strategy.

    You can be based from either our Birmingham, Bristol or Manchester strategic hubs, you'll spend time each week at the client's site and there will be some international travel involved.

    What you'll be doing


    • Proactively contributes to the account strategy function by supporting the sales director in the creation of the account strategy and account development plan (ADP) for the customer.


    • Takes responsibility for developing successful, sustainable, and profitable long-term relationship with the customer within a complex hierarchy structure.


    • Proactively develops a strong understanding of the customer's requirements and transformational roadmap, ensuring robust ADPs exist and accurately portray the competitive landscape and how BT is positioned within it.


    • Creates industry level consortia to identify and solve medium to long term business problems.


    • Defines, develops, owns key customer relationships and contact strategy, and drives customer satisfaction improvements increasing Net Promoter Score within the account.

    What we'd like to see from you


    • Sales experience in telco or technology.


    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven credibility to operate at C-suite level within large, complex multinational organisations.


    • Experience creating a virtual team to deliver commercially sound, complex customer solutions/managed experience whilst maintaining a positive customer experience.


    • Willing and able to gain Security Check (SC) level security clearance and be able to travel internationally, including to the US, when required.
