Our client, a prominent name in the construction industry, is on the lookout for a skilled and qualified / part-qualified accountant or QBE professional to join their esteemed finance team. As a vital member of the finance team, you will report directly to the number 1 in finance, playing a pivotal role in managing the financial reporting and management information for both the company and its subsidiaries. This is a key position within the business, ideal for a technically proficient finance professional looking to further develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly consolidation of accounts to provide comprehensive financial insights.
Preparation of year-end financial statements for each of our group companies.
Taking charge of the audit process, demonstrating leadership and expertise.
Fulfilling Company Secretarial duties for all group entities.
Ensuring compliance with VAT and CIS schemes, handling submissions as required.
Liaising with HMRC, external auditors, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders on statutory compliance matters.
Leading the team to meet critical deadlines with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Upholding high standards of work to meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
Identifying opportunities for continual improvement in the information provided to the wider business.

Skills and Experience Required:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Sage software (beneficial but not essential).
Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical skills.
Experience in the construction industry (beneficial but not essential).
A team player with the ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.
