- Develop and maintain a business recovery plan and procedure; review, revise, and expand existing plans and protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments for various departments and functions, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters and security breach.
- Collaborate with IT staff to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.
- Identify and implement recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in the event that part or all of the infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.
- Create and facilitate practice drills for plan execution.
- Develop and provide staff training on risk management and disaster recovery.
- Work with health, safety, and security staff to align the organizations emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- You hold a master's degree in Finance or IT or Economics or any related field.
- You have a minimum of eight years of experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management, with at least two years in a risk management position.
- You are fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
- You have a thorough understanding of risk management.
- Excellent strategic, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes.
- Ability to collaborate with others to develop an emergency plan.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
