    The Opportunity

    Primary Objectives:

  • Lead the global IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery program to uplift services, risk identification & management, process effectiveness and cadence of continuous improvement which will underpin the strategic tenants of efficient return to service in the event of a catastrophic failure in services

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, implementation and communication of IT business continuity plans, disaster recovery and processes.
  • Ensure that the IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans and associated procedures and supporting documentation are maintained, tested and improved over time.
  • Develop a plan to accredit IT's Business Continuity plans with a recognised standard such as ISO22301.
  • Act as subject matter expert for IT, including responses to client RFIs, RFPs and during internal and external audits.
  • Assess whether new or changed IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery requirements of the firm can be met with existing solutions or if relevant presentation of a business case for review.
  • Develop, in conjunction with senior management, the annual test schedule to include technical recovery tests and tabletop exercises.
  • Ensure that all IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery documentation is reviewed annually and revised as appropriate.
  • Maintain the risk register and assess risks in relation to threats to the continuity of IT systems and services.
  • Liaise with Senior Business Continuity & Operational Resilience Manager to develop IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery induction training and communication plans for the firm.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop service level recovery standards and agreements.
  • Ensure that Business Services remain aware of the IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans and in particular the role they would play in the Plan should it be invoked.

    • Key Performance Indicators:

  • Development, Maintenance and improvement of IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, associated procedures and all related documentation.
  • Development and facilitation of IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery tests.
  • Development and testing of IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery procedures based on agreed schedules.
  • Development of standard responses to client RFI, RFPs and audits.
  • Maintenance and regular updates to the IT Risk Register.
  • Implement the successful delivery of a standardised and repeatable client response framework aligned with the firm's business continuity and disaster recovery obligations.
  • Improvement initiatives are aligned with the Business Services vision and Operations strategy.
  • Effective change management and operational improvements with minimal disruption to client facing teams.
  • Initiatives are implemented and delivered on time and within budget.
  • High level of internal stakeholder satisfaction achieved and supported by peer feedback.

    • Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Substantial proven experience in BCDR role.
  • Membership of BCI or DRII or a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
  • Previous experience of IT risk assessment.
  • Previous business analyst experience.
  • Strong vision that is aligned to delivering business goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with, lead and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational, planning, prioritising and execution skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, along with demonstrated presentation skills.
