    Description

    The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team to be responsible for effective day to day running of the residential children's home in the absence of the registered/homes manager.

    You will be responsible for a team of staff and work allocations, as well as undertaking direct work with children in the home when necessary.

    This 5 bed semi-independent provider is an expert in their field, providing child centred care packages for children that instil purpose, self-worth and the confidence to seek out positive outcomes in later life.

    The service is currently transitioning over to an Ofsted Registered.

    To support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with the company Policy and Procedures and meeting all Ofsted regulations.

    To safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the young people.
    To ensure that the young people's needs are recognised and met where possible.

    To ensure that the home meets the individual needs of the young people as well as the needs of the group.

    To ensure all policies and procedures, as well as risk assessments, are adhered to at all times.

    To ensure that all staff under their supervision undertake and complete training in accordance with their induction training schedule and Personal Development Plan.

    Conduct supervisions with senior support workers.
    To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and be aware of relevant policies and procedures.
    Level 3 NVQ Children's and young people services / residential care
    ~ Driving Licence
    ~2 years working in a children's residential home
