- Use of first principles to develop accurate electrical estimates for Utility based projects (predominantly Water and Waste Water Treatment and distribution)
- Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, and production times etc
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
- Build relationships with key stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs
- Participate in review processes with senior management
- Understanding, following and reinforcing the use of our established estimating processes to ensure internal governance is achieved and Senior Management have confidence in the tender price presented.
- Proven experience, and track record as an Electrical Estimator in a tier 1 environment (alternatively experience working on-site in the waste water or utility industry)
- Experience pricing large and small Water / Waste Water projects – ideally involving Utility Infrastructure
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience in using Expert Estimator is desired, but not a requirement
- Experience in estimating O&M rates based opportunities will also be highly regarded
