- The ability to identify individuals going into crisis mode and follow/be familiar with their special and complex care needs
- Provide 1:1 support for individuals with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Support the delivery of in-class activities, promoting independent learning where possible, and encouraging appropriate social skills.
- Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
- Previous involvement with people needing complex care is an added advantage.
- Previous working experience with Educational Psychology services, Paediatricians, CAMHS or Therapist.
- An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
- Support on a one to one basis for individuals with complex care needs.
- Follow Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
- Assist in engaging lessons including outdoor activities and creative engagement.
- Support individual social interaction.
- Be able to work collaboratively with staff members and outside agencies, such as counsellors and mental health professionals
- Develop self-esteem, confidence, and emotional wellbeing resilience in students to ensure regular attendance in school and active participation in learning and social opportunities.
