    Description


    DP World are currently recruiting for a Logistics / Continuous Improvement Engineer to be based on our incredibly fast paced customer site in Wolverhampton.

    Responsibilities will include supporting the development and delivery of long term engineering strategies to ensure continual improvement of functions and the delivery of best practice solutions across plantAbout the RoleHow you will contributeSupport function with process design, material flow and layout designWork collaboratively with other disciplines in the delivery of plant projects including but not limited to project management, IT and operationsBe able to work independently on the delivery of work packages within a project environmentWork in line with group and regional standards and processesAct as key interface with client on development projects and issuesContinually monitor and review headcount plan versus actual to ensure alignment is maintained at all timesEnsure appropriate controls and approval processes are strictly enforced for process changesEnsure root cause analysis is completed where appropriate and appropriate corrective measures are implementedDrive the continuous improvement strategy onsite including delivery of measureable improvements in efficiency and cost savingEnsure delivery of cost saving initiatives of at least 5% year on year through continuous improvement functionWork collaboratively with IT functions at all times and ensure process design and master data are alignedOther duties as assigned​​​Your Key QualificationsIdeally educated to degree level in a related discipline or possess experience in a similar role within Logistics or Manufacturing (preferably Automotive environments)Previous experience of a similar role working in a fast paced manufacturing/logistics environmentAbility to communicate effectively across all levelsAbility to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysisPossess strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel & PowerPoint.
