    Description

    for our pupils that challenges and inspires, whilst providing outstanding pastoral care. As teachers in a Christian school, we are able to encourage our pupils in their journey of faith and model a relationship with Jesus that is real and relevant. It is this all encompassing approach – academic progress, character, faith – that makes our school such a special place to work in.

    There is the option for part-time English teaching or to take on a full-time role, which would include some RS teaching as well. As teacher of English, you will have the opportunity to inspire our pupils as they study texts and develop their comprehension and creative writing skills. There is some flexibility to shape the workload to the skills and experience of the successful candidate, but the job will involve teaching Year 9-11, with the scope to add in Year 7 & 8 if availability permits. We follow the AQA course for both Language & Literature and RS. A scheme of work is in place, and you will have the opportunity to shape the English curriculum as you grow into the role, ensuring that our pupils continue to have a broad and dynamic learning experience.     There is a Genuine DfE registered Occupational Requirement (GOR) that the post-holder is a Christian.
    Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010 applies.
