Finance Assistant - St Albans, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom - Payroll Elite
Description
This is great opportunity for either a part qualified accountant or someone wanting to embark on their finance career to learn and develop within our internal accounts team, supporting the wider business across a number of different areas.
Main dutiesThe below duties are dependent on the experience level of the candidate.
In addition to these functions employees will be required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
Provide support to our month end process, including the preparation and posting of month end journals to Xero
The opportunity to become involved in the preparation of the management accounts, including maintaining and preparing balance sheet reconciliations as well as WIP and debtor schedules
Support the credit card and employee expenses processes, ensuring employee expenses are processed and reimbursed on a timely basis
Provide support to the credit control team, including helping chase clients for payments, running reports, mail merges and updating fees ledgers
Help maintain our practice management system (CCH)
Support the internal payroll process as required, including liaising with HR and other stakeholders
Provide assistance to other members of the department when required
Deal with any queries which may arise from Partners/staff within the firm

Qualifications/education required
Educated to A level standard
Desirable if they were qualified in AAT
Experience required
~2-3 years' experience within a similar role
~ Bookkeeping experience, ideally within Xero
