    We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our fantastic team based at our flagship Asphalt plant in Birmingham. The site is easily accessible and located in the heart of the Midlands.

    The plant is easily commutable from various areas in the Midlands.

    Role Responsibility

    Reporting directly to Plant Supervisor, the Multi Skilled Operative will handle day-to-day operations driving mobile plant, ensuring stock maintenance, and more.

    Previous experience in Asphalt mixing is preferred.

    Your responsibilities as the Multi Skilled Operative will include (non-exhaustive):

    • Operating Mobile and Fixed Plant on site
    • Working to ensure quality material and on-time deliveries
    • Assisting the Supervisor with production targets
    • Following safety policies and procedures
    • Conforming with safety requirements
    • Conducting plant inspections
    • Maximizing plant availability
    • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping

    The ideal candidate will have experience in an Industrial, Factory, or similar environment, good communication skills, and a desire to develop operative and supervisory skills.

    The role involves shift work with a rotation of shifts and overtime as needed.

    The Ideal Candidate

    To succeed as a Multi Skilled Operative, we seek the following qualities:

    • Knowledge of plant operations
    • Knowledge of Asphalt mixing
    • Good Timekeeping and flexibility
    • Strong Communication skills
    • Full UK Driving Licence
    • IT Literacy

    Previous experience in a Plant/Quarry setting is beneficial but not required as training will be provided.
