    Description

    Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break

    Location: Shrewsbury, SY4 4RR

    Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad. We have seven depots in Newport (Shropshire), Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Middlewich, Ormskirk and Denbigh.

    About the Role

    The role of a warranty administrator is to process and submit warranty claims, escalating any substandard claims to the Warranty/Service Manager as necessary, whilst ensuring these are conducted within franchise determined guidelines.

    This role requires an understanding of the warranty process in accordance with franchise-specific standards, so attention to detail and a methodical approach to workload is essential.

    The warranty process is audited externally, which could result in financial penalties if faults are found. The role ensures accuracy and excellent presentation of the correct claims.

    The role has no direct reports and reports directly to Group Warranty Manager.

    Responsibilities
    On a day-to-day basis you will (This list is not exhaustive):

    • Process and submit all RVT warranty claims following franchise specifications.
    • Communicate with Warranty/Service Manager and Technicians on all substandard claims.
    • Liaise with the Workshop Foreman to process returned claims.
    • Contribute to continued improvements to departmental processes, to maximise efficiency and profitability.
    • Prepare and collate information required for regular franchise-specific audits, ensuring all records are kept correctly and accurately.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Excellent organisational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
    • An ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines.
    • Be able to use own initiative to problem solve.
    • Willingness to learn new skills and take on a new challenge.
    • Previous experience of warranty or agricultural would be advantageous but not essential.
