    Your Role:

    As a Global Relay DevOps engineer, you will work closely with a software engineering team to develop on-premises solutions, including utilizing Hadoop-based technologies.

    Your responsibilities will revolve around designing, implementing, and supporting automated, scalable solutions. Your contributions will play a significant role in ensuring the efficient delivery of top-notch software to our customers.

    The role will require collaboration across teams, working closely with your team members, other development teams, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless software delivery.

    Your Job:

    Due to the diverse nature of the role, your time will be divided among various areas:

    • Automation: Designing, enhancing, and implementing reusable CI/CD solutions using industry best practices
    • Operations: Monitoring and ensuring smooth operation of production and test environments through dynamic dashboards and alerting rulesets
    • Collaboration and Sharing: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to automate requirements early in the development lifecycle, sharing knowledge within the DevOps community
    • Service Reliability: Troubleshooting and resolving issues by reviewing dashboards and logs
    • Deployments: Writing and executing deployment automation tools using various configuration management systems
    • Platform Integration: Working with technologies like Hadoop and Kubernetes

    You will engage with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Jenkins, Grafana, Python, Hadoop, and more. Training and mentoring will be available where there are knowledge gaps.

    About You:

    You have an automation-first mindset and enjoy sharing knowledge, with a passion for expanding your technical horizons. You thrive under pressure, possess strong problem-solving skills, and are adept at finding efficient solutions to complex problems.

    You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Python, Java, shell scripting, Linux, CI/CD tools, container technologies, and applying DevOps practices in the software delivery lifecycle.

    Additional experience with Configuration Management tools, VMWare, Jenkins deployment pipelines, Kafka, security best practices, agile methodologies, build tools, and databases is advantageous.
