Description
As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will be integral in making a meaningful difference for our local population, supporting the Health Board.
The role will require the translation and triangulation of operational plans into financial cost and benefits, with an overall aim of ensuring service resilience, sustainability and value for money.
It will involve financial forecasting and the reporting of the monthly financial outturn to Health Board colleagues.The role will involve supporting the Unscheduled Care Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion County services and Medicine Management Directorates.
The Assistant Finance Business Partner will form part of a team led by a Senior Finance Business Partner and a Finance Business Partner.
Provide strong financial leadership to the Directorates you support ensuring their performance delivery, providing appropriate governance and sound professional advice and support.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that a robust financial management and planning process is in place including spend analysis, forecasting, final month end reporting and annual financial planning / budgeting.
Modelling and tracking spend plans against Welsh Government funding allocations (SIF, ICF, Transformation and other external funding sources)
Develop and support on creation of business cases to deliver change in the Health Board
Activity performance analysis
System wide analysis
Providing financial updates at various forums on spend and projected costs to assist with decision making.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
