    Biteback Publishing:
    Editor/Assistant Editor (September 2022)
    A new opportunity has opened up to join a small, energetic team publishing fast-paced politics and current affairs, history, espionage, sport and memoir

    Reporting to the Editorial Director, the newest member of our team will be involved in steering books through all stages of the editorial process, from original manuscript to print-ready files, and ensuring our authors receive an attentive, bespoke service.

    Proofreading sales materials
    – Writing compelling cover copy
    – First-class knowledge of language and grammar
    – Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
    – Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle a range of tasks
    – Familiarity with Adobe InDesign software will be an advantage.
    Please note that this is not an entry-level position .

    This would be a terrific second or third job for either an experienced Assistant Editor ready to take the next step up or an established Editor looking to branch out in a new direction.


    Location :
    London, working three days a week in our Southwark office and two days a week from home (or fully office-based if preferred)
