    Coaches Men's Head Coach
    West Hampstead Hockey Club West Hampstead, London SHARE

    We're looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and skilled coach, to drive performance and create a fantastic playing experience for our men's teams.

    Our aim is to conduct training sessions with high intensity and focus, while maintaining the fun atmosphere that aligns with the vision of our club.

    You will lead our Men's Performance Squad (M1-2) coaching programme, with additional responsibilities to assist our men's competitive teams (M3-4).

    We expect you to actively engage with the wider club community to nurture player development across the men's section and contribute to enhancing the skills of our internal coaches.

    Plan and implement a pre-season training programme in collaboration with captains and other coaches
    ~ Plan, lead and facilitate 2 x weekly training sessions, incorporating weekly feedback from captains;
    ~Work closely with other coaches who have responsibility for the M2-4 teams, in particular for any joint training sessions
    Develop player performance by providing individual feedback and coaching
    Support internal men's coaches to develop their coaching skills and implement the strategic objectives
    Lead on video analysis sessions for the Men's Performance Squad
    A coaching qualification of EH level 2 or equivalent is desirable
    Eligible to work in the UK (we are unable to support visa applications or provide sponsorship)
    Home games and training are at Whitefield School, Claremont Road, NW2 1TR

    Hours per week: 6-12 hours per week (full coaching schedule to be negotiated but availability during weeknights and Saturdays is essential).


    Contract length:
    Accommodation may be available in West Hampstead (Zone 2) and will form part of negotiations.

    West Hampstead Hockey Club has nine men's and seven women's teams and has been attracting lots of players from all levels in London and beyond for nearly 30 years.

    We pride ourselves on our club's social scene, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

    During the season we have a full social calendar and over the summer we attend multiple tours, casual hockey open days, mixed hockey friendlies and other summer league competitions.

    Our Men's 1st team currently play in London Men's Premier Division, our M2s in London Men's Division 2 North, and our M3&4s in London Men's Division 3 North.
