    Location: Flexible across Scotland (hybrid working)

    We are looking for professional and experienced administrator to join the Scottish Ambulance Service on a permanent basis. The post holder will provide confidential, efficient, effective, and high-quality administrative support service to the Clinical Directorate while being aligned to the delivery of keys activities associated with Pathway Navigation Hub. You will be providing a useful function to clinicians with a single point of contact within SAS to support, identify and navigate through the range of alternative pathways available to help connect patients with services.

    The preferred candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure and collaboratively as part of a team. You will require a degree of flexibility and adaptability to provide high quality support to the Clinical Directorate Team, ideally having gained experience within the NHS.

    To be successful in your application:

  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with good attention to detail.
  • You will be highly computer literate and support the creation of reports and use word processing/spreadsheets, including specialised packages.
  • Be self-motivated and enthusiastic to deliver an excellent service for the teams we work with.
  • NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
