    EssenceMediacom fuses Essence's performance, data, analytics and creative technology DNA with MediaCom's scaled multichannel audience planning and strategic media expertise.

    EssenceMediacomX sits within the legacy Essence building on Oxford Street. Our clients include many exciting brands such as Google, ITV, Airbnb, BT/EE, NBCUniversal and L'Oréal to name a few.

    The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly.

    The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized.

    The Ecommerce, Senior Account Associate Director is the channel lead for designated clients/campaigns and is responsible for delivering category-defining capabilities and services across all Biddable channels, with a particular focus on retail search, programmatically bought and reservation bought activity.

    Success in this role involves providing strategic insight across a breadth of channels, helping to evolve best practice within the retail search channel specifically, and leading a team (including ultimate responsibility for quality of work within this team).

    Responsible for effective oversight of designated account campaigns and weaving these into the overall cross-channel campaign strategy

    • Support the team Client Director & Media Activation Practice Lead in capacity planning & resource management for the team
    • Oversee development and creation of retail media best practices in region coordinating with global NA / EMEA team to ensure consistency across regions (with ultimate accountability for adherence to controls and best practices across all channels in the immediate account team)Be the primary contact point of contact between the Media Activation team and regular stakeholders both internal & external for their account(s)
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of all retail media platforms (e.g. - ASA, ADSP, etc) operating as in-agency expert in your field of specialism, whilst showing a good understanding of the overall media landscape
    • Manage and develop vendor relationships within retail media across EMEA markets.
    • Develop thought leadership pieces & case studies throughout the course of the year to demonstrate role within wider industry as a retail media expert
    • Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on work quality as it relates to owned workstreams
    • Gain a more strategic understanding of the client's business and KPIs, and keep up to date with latest Industry news and be proactive in spotting trends, product releases, and other opportunities which could enhance our activity
    • Ownership of channel specialism forecasting, brand study and optimisation methodologies
    • Motivational Leader, leading by example while encouraging and coaching juniors on the team, and working with support teams on a daily basis
    • Ownership of operational end-to-end excellence, by guiding the team from ideation to reconciliation and supporting them on troubleshooting.
    • Understand when & how to escalate issues to Senior Client Director and senior management
    • Thoughtfully craft professional development plans for your reports and contribute to the development of training materials to this end
    Excellent knowledge of media planning fundamentals e.g. reach, frequency, channels, performance, etc.

    • Expert knowledge in Retail Media paid channels & partners, research & automation tools, data integration options
    • Good knowledge of planning related details (quarter and tentpole level) including but not limited to campaign pacing, estimated performance, etc.
    • Ultimate owner of channel level forecast inputs for Media Planning
    • Regularly contributes to Retail Media best practices and campaign processes
    • Ensures all proposed planning tactics ladder up to higher level strategic thinking
    • Proactively spearhead conversations to expand retail media offering and solutions as it pertains to planning (retailers, channels, strategy, tactics)
    • Bachelor's degree in a Media/Advertising or a related field
    • Proven experience at Activation Director level in a Digital Media or Advertising role (including some aspects of managing P&L)
