    Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist, Therapy Team Leader, Head of Therapies.

    The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS trust (UHL) is recruiting to its very popular Physiotherapy Band 5 rotation scheme. Level 1 Brain Injury Unit
    Level 2 Neuro Rebab unit
    Oncology
    Paediatric in patients and out patients
    Acute medicine
    Respiratory medicine
    ITU and Surgery
    Cardiology

    The UHL Therapy department is expanding and developing and we want someone who can develop and grow with us.

    We will offer you a wide variety of clinical and leadership experience supported with a comprehensive training package.

    There is a thorough induction process, preceptorship package, clinical supervision and In service training supported through appraisals and 1:1 meetings and peer support sessions.

    In addition there are opportunities to take part in audit and research, become involved in carrying out service development and attend external training courses and conferences.

    About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust:


    These posts are subject to a training agreement, whereby the successful candidates will be expected to fulfill all core competencies within the first six months of employment with the University Hospitals of Leicester.

    To provide a high standard of physiotherapy care as part of a responsive and patient centred service.

    To effectively manage an autonomous clinical caseload and to undertake duties as a qualified Physiotherapist, under the supervision of Senior staff.

    Remain up to date on local and national issues affecting and influencing patient care.

    You will be supported to be able to carry this out through a comprehensive induction process, training and support package and with the help of experienced clinicians and leaders.

    Training and qualification
    BSc physiotherapy or equivalent
    GCSE English and Maths to grade 4 (C) or equivilent

    Member of professional body such as Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

    Varied clinical experience as student or band 5 Physiotherapist
    Awareness of how therapy is provided in the NHS

    Acute Hospital experience

    Evidence of building positive team relationships

    Planning and organisation
    Knowledge of current issues affecting Physiotherapy in the UK
