    People living with Parkinson's need to have their voice heard in Scotland to ensure their health and care needsare met.

    Following an investment in our services, support and work with the NHS, we are also expanding ourcampaigning and policy work across Scotland and the rest of the UK.

    We're looking for someone special with experience of campaigning, including an understanding of its basic tools andtechniques, experience of interpreting complex policy issues for a public audience, and knowledge of theScottish political and public policy landscape.

    You'll support our national and local campaigning work across Scotland to improve the lives of people withParkinson's and those closest to them.

    As part of our dynamic and committed Scotland team, you'll listen to theneeds of our local communities and work with colleagues across the charity to deliver focussed politicalcampaigning work.

    You'll work with our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson's with decision makers at alocal and national level.

    You'll use your knowledge of public policy in Scotland and the UK to make sure thatthe voices of people with Parkinson's, their partners, family members and friends are heard, and help to drivechanges that improve their lives.

    Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Scotland, who want to improve services in their local area, andrecruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Scotland.

    Support thework of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and Scottish specific legislation,policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs

    Use our UK-widecampaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with othercharities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.

    Excellent written and oral communication and an ability to produce inspiringcontent to motivate others, and the ability to network and manage supportive relationships with volunteers, MSPsand a range of external organisations
    Interviews for this role will be held 16/17 May 2024 and will be held over video/remotely.

    By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as a Community Support Co-ordinator you can be the differencebetween people just surviving and really living.

    Our Community Healthcare Support Services form a nationwide network of localsupport groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart orlung condition or after a stroke.

    We are looking for a Community Support Coordinator to join our amazing team in the North area.

    This role is focusedon making sure that people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions get the help they need and get back todoing the things that matter to them.

    Through our Community Support Services, you will support people to have the confidence and tools to self-manage theirhealth condition and live as independently as possible.

    You'll also help people get back to doing the thingsthat are important to them – from simple things like walking to their local shop following a stroke, toreturning to a sky-high hobby of gliding

    You'll be directly involved in supporting people with chest, heart and stroke conditions through both one-to-one andgroup services in both community and hospital settings.

    You'll work with the rest of the Community SupportServices team in Grampian, and manage a team of incredible volunteers, to make a real difference to the lives ofpeople with our conditions.

    Candidates don't need to have medical knowledge as training is provided on our health conditions.

    We are looking forsomeone with a positive attitude towards people with disabilities and long-term conditions; an understanding ofthe challenges faced by people with chest, heart and stroke conditions including Long Covid; We are Scotland's leading organisation for person-centred, user-led community supportfor people with our health conditions.

    Applicants must have a car and a current valid driving licence (expenses are paid at mileage rate).

    This job exists in order to provide tailored support to veterans carrying out woodworking projects. Youwill work alongside the veterans to identify abilities, share ideas and plan projects within the activityCentre.

    Build a strong foundation

    The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) to support ourScotland, Wales and Northern Ireland teams.

    This exciting Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) role will manage a portfolio of policy andinfluencing activities and play a significant role developing the Foundation's policy and public affairs work inScotland.

    This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading charities and deliver social change byaddressing the root causes of mental health problems and improving the mental health of people in Scotland.

    Providing policy intelligence and analysis and writingevidence-based submissions, policy reports, position papers, briefings and blogs
    Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
    Skillin building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, electedrepresentatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experienceinequity
    Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and publicaffairs approaches and work


    • Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field
