    Description

    The role:


    The role of the Quality and Performance Coach is the line management of a team of Tutors, monitor individual Tutors in their scheduled delivery in order to ensure achievement in line with expectation and defined timescales.

    The role is predominantly field-based line management of Tutors, with appropriate administration time applied.


    Key responsibilities:


    To continually improve the quality of the learning experience by ensuring programs of learning are completed in line with expectation.


    At the first engagement with a Tutor either new to the company or new to the Quality and Performance Coach ensure and record confirmation that the Tutor has been inducted, has access to any and all relevant electronic information, curriculum plans, resources and systems, and fully understands how to use and implement these systems in order to create records of learning and achievement in an agreed format.


    Initiate and conduct weekly contact with all allocated Tutors in order to establish and record individual Learner progress and attendance.

    Ensure Tutors have access to all evidence for each Learner of learning start points and initial assessment results.


    Ensure Tutors have access to and keep up to date the agreed format for the keeping of evidence of learning, either in paper based or ePortfolio format.


    On a weekly basis report to the Quality Performance Manager Lead on the previous weeks individual Learner attendance and progress, updates on action plans for Learners and Tutors.


    On a weekly basis report to the Quality Performance Manager Lead on planned Learner attendance, timings and locations for programs of learning delivery in the following week.


    On a weekly basis identify and report to the Quality Performance Manager the availability and location of the evidence of Learner progress for evaluation of quality at defined formative stages for interim quality assurance sampling.


    On a weekly basis identify and report to the Quality Performance Manager the availability and location of the evidence of Learner program of learning completion for the purpose of timely summative quality assurance sampling and where appropriate certification claim.


    On a weekly basis monitor feedback provided by Internal Quality Assurance to individual Tutors as a result of quality assurance activity including observation of teaching, learning and assessment practice, and ensure that Tutors comply in a timely manner with quality assurance actions as set and defined.


    Initiate, implement and monitor individual Learner action plans for those Learners at risk of not completing in line with expected timeframes.


    Conduct monthly one to one meetings with Tutors for the evaluation of performance, initiate and implement action plans and provide feedback to the Tutor on their performance levels.


    Evaluate and make recommendation to the Quality Performance Manager Lead on the suitability and capacity of individual Tutors to deliver programs of learning and regulated qualifications.

    To provide feedback on the performance of Tutors to the Quality Performance Manager.

    Responsible for the ensuring timely completion of quality monitoring, attendance and administrative documentation.

    Provide performance related information to meet company timescales and deadlines.

    To attend company performance and standardisation meetings as required.

    Work with the Quality Performance Manager Lead to support the delivery of the Quality Improvement Plan.

    Undertake and maintain a log of continuous professional development to ensure skills and knowledge are always up to date.


    GENERAL DUTIES


    To comply at all times with the requirements of the Health & Safety regulations under the Health & Safety at Work Act and to take responsibility for the health and safety and welfare of others in the working environment ensuring that agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment.

    To comply at all times with the Company's data security policy.

    Also to respect confidentiality of information about staff, Learners and service users and in particular the confidentiality of electronically stored personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulations.

    Disclosure Barring (DBS) (formerly CRB) checks are a mandatory part of the recruitment process for staff.
