Are you what Almond Care Children's Services is looking for?
We are looking for someone who has a true passion for supporting / mentoring our young people, developing others, strong leadership skills and experience at managing young people / staff team.
As a home manager you will be required to have a QCF Level 3 or above for Children and Young People, we are ideally looking for someone who has experience in the role and has or working towards a Level 5 leadership and management qualification. You will be expected to have good organisation skills, can manage a budget, computer skills and have knowledge in the Quality Standards and Childrens Act 1989 / 2004.
Overview on the role:
To ensure that the home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose.
To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with the Children Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards.
To establish and maintain a competent, motivated, and confident staff team and to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance, and offer support to staff at all levels.
To ensure that the home's policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively.
To ensure that the fabric of the home, equipment, appliances, and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.
To liaise with local authorities, education, health, and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people.
To actively promote the home's equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.
Salary: £40,000.00 to £45,000.00 depending on experience.
Full time hours Monday - Friday.
Driving Licence is essential.
Location - LE12
