    SEN Supply Level 3 Teaching Assistant/ Sheffield

    If you are a SEND Learning Support Assistant who enjoys working with children and young people facing various challenges, such as communication difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, cognition needs, behavioural needs, complex physical and medical needs, or sensory processing disorders, keep reading to learn more

    Academics is currently looking to hire multiple enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about enhancing outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

    The role of a learning support assistant entails providing comprehensive support to young individuals to ensure top-quality care for those in SEN settings across the Doncaster area.

    As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

    • Collaborate closely with education staff to plan, implement, and document progress within the extended curriculum.
    • Establish a positive and inclusive environment that aligns with the school's values and principles.
    • Engage with students on an individual basis or in small groups to help them overcome learning obstacles, offer positive behavior reinforcement, and deliver targeted interventions.
    • Adhere to school policies to safeguard students and vulnerable individuals, ensuring their health, safety, and welfare.
    • Hold an updated DBS check or be willing to obtain one.
