    Department of Statistics

    Assistant Professor (Education)

    Salary is no less than £61,466 per annum and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website.

    Applications for this new post are invited from outstanding teachers in the field of actuarial mathematics and statistics, with a focus on computational aspects. The successful candidate will join an established and successful department and contribute to the teaching and management of one of its BSc programmes. The post is tenable from 1st August 2024.

    Please note that this is an Education Career Track post. Candidates for this post should have a track record of excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to education.

    Candidates should have: expertise in the field of actuarial mathematics and statistics, have completed a PhD, or be close to obtaining a PhD, in statistics or a related subject by the post start date, evidence of a strong track record in teaching, the ability to teach actuarial mathematics and statistics courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students and assisting in the smooth running of the Department and its teaching programmes. The successful candidate will join a vibrant research and teaching environment in the Department of Statistics.
