About the role:


The Production Manager will be responsible for the planning and on-site delivery of a variety of events to ensure client satisfaction.


They will be required to generate and drive revenues from event planners and organisers, primarily from existing accounts, but also from new clients.

This includes promoting and selling the company's own rental products and services but also bringing togetherexternal suppliers when required.


Essential skills:


  • Previous extensive experience as a live event AV technician is essential; this might be as an employee of an events AV company, within a venue, or, as a freelance technician.
  • Endtoend technical project management experience in live events, including virtual events, and the ability to troubleshoot and act assertively when managing onsite crew.
  • CAD skills (deciphering and creating) in Vectorworks or equivalent.
  • Ability to confidently calculate lens throws, lighting angles, weight loads, speaker dispersion, power draws, sight lines, floor load restrictions etc.
  • Good understanding of event power, cable runs, and eventbased health and safety.
  • Commercial and negotiation skills together with the ability to produce a job P&L.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical challenges when under pressure, whilst maintaining client confidence.
  • Good IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • A professional and courteous manner, radiating calmness and confidence under pressure.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • A good level of numeracy and excellent attention to detail.
- 'A' level as a minimum, preferably a relevant degree.


Desirable skills:


  • Reasonable knowledge of virtual events and associated streaming/platforms would also be useful.
