- Support the implementation, and optimise the use of, digital healthcare information systems within the Trust for the benefit of patients, nurses, doctors, allied health professionals and other multidisciplinary care providers such as GPs and Social Care providers.
- Hold responsibility for the divisional team(s) delivering programmes of work that contribute to ICS strategy, divisional transformation, centralised transformation and the CLCH digital strategy.
- Actively seek, promote, identify and evaluate digital and technology innovations where they add value and improve the service user and carer experience, and improve outcomes, process, staff productivity and satisfaction.
- Provide effective leadership input and support to the teams responsible for delivery within the remit of the post holders portfolio, including managing the people and resources associated with designated projects where required.
- Management and monitoring of digital clinical risk management plans for Health Information Technologies in line with mandated NHS Standards for the implementation of Healthcare Information Technology and the digital clinical safety framework in place within Trust.
- Clinical professional qualification and registration
- Undergraduate degree in a clinical or clinical informatics subject
- Evidence of on- going professional development
- Masters or equivalent combination of masters level education, specialist qualifications and experience
- Qualified Clinical Safety Officer or the willingness to undertake training
- Postgraduate Informatics/IT Qualification/ health leadership Qualification.
- Experience of digital transformation Projects within the NHS
- Extensive and up to date knowledge of clinical, administrative and/or operational workflows and processes within a community environment
- Extensive clinical and managerial knowledge of one or more specific area, including knowledge of relevant operational policies and procedures
- Previous NHS experience healthcare leadership
- Experienced operational management including, service delivery against specifications
- A track record of meeting challenging objectives in tight timeframes
- Comprehensive knowledge of NHS policy and strategy and the clinical agendas with an ability to translate into local action.
- Proven track record of managing clinical elements of IT/Information projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of Information Governance, Standard Operating Procedures and other governance, national and professional standards of practice or other regulations
- Experience of delivering benefits in a healthcare setting through the implementation and deployment of clinical systems, informatics and associated technology
- Experience of working at a strategic level to drive improved clinical processes
- Experience of identifying, reporting and managing clinical risk in current process and acting to improve processes
- Leadership experience, with the ability to lead, manage and motivate staff into achieving a common goal
- fluently with staff at all levels in the organisation,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently with staff at all levels in the organisation, including clinical staff, managerial staff and senior/board level executives, as well as with external suppliers
- Able to cope with unpredictable and intense situations and work under significant pressure to achieve deadlines whilst managing frequent interruptions
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts by making informed decisions based on complex facts from a range of sources as well as the ability to manage challenging situations with staff, patients and visitors such as aggression, grief, anger etc.

- Exceptional organisational and strategic level logistics planning skills

Secondment opportunities are available for part time and full time Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer (ACCIO) roles across CLCH. These roles promote the effective use of technology, data, information, knowledge and digital safety, to support and improve digital healthcare delivery aligned to the Trusts strategic plans.
The secondment holders will be working closely with the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Digital Clinical Safety Officer (CSO) and the Divisional leads. to support the delivery of digital healthcare transformation and supporting the assessment and implementation of NHS standards for digital healthcare technology.
