- Developing an understanding of workshop equipment
- Learning how to service our pumps by carrying out checks and maintenance
- Learning how to repair and replace faulty parts
- Applying safe systems of working including electrical safety testing
- Applying proven techniques and procedures to solve engineering/manufacturing problems What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Leybold and our training provider, East Surrey College will collaborate to ensure that you are provided with continuous training and development.
- The first year you will spend 3 days a week at East Surrey college to learn engineering principles, and this will reduce to 1 day in year 2.
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will obtain a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Engineering. What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Upon successful completion of this scheme, you could be offered a Service Engineer role with our inhouse team in Chessington, with the potential to move out into the field or within the wider Atlas Copco Group.
- You could also be offered further training to expand your learning. Many of our Service Engineers began their careers as apprenticeships

- 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science
- A passion for engineering - experience shown from personal interests or school projects is a plus

- Good timekeeping and the ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication skills
