    Description

    Undertake CDD/ODD case work on low and medium risk customers, ensuring information held against the customer is current and factual and any information or items outstanding are obtained in line with bank policy


    • Review and establish any control gaps with CDD/ODD case files, making sure FinCrime Risk is managed, and with any risk that cannot be understood or mitigated, cases are escalated to FCRC, Sanctions, AML/CTF investigations
    • Work with Relationship Managers to review customer relationships and the effective implementation and ongoing compliance with the Bank's policies and minimum standards across our Business Banking distribution channels
    • Independently manage and own case work relating to low and medium risk customers
    • Liaise between the relationship managers and FCRC when bumping up complex or high-risk cases
    • Advocate for Financial Crime Operations, educating relationship managers and leaders on the importance of FC risk management and their responsibilities
    • And... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do. Experience of working in a financial crime function or risk function of a financial services organisation
    • Knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework including our obligations under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the Terrorism Act, the requirements of the money laundering regulations and the guidance provided by the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group
    • Excellent understanding of Financial Crime, the associated risks, and red flags
    • Experience in report writing
    • Understanding of commercial and business products, and those products which pose a higher risk of Financial Crime
    • Ability to execute and complete CDD/ODD case reviews
    • Experience of working in a frontline role with knowledge around Business and Commercial Banking customers is desirable
